Wayne Quigley

President and General Manager

Wayne J. Quigley was appointed President and General Manager of Bristol-Myers Squibb Canada in 2006.

A Canadian native, Wayne joined Bristol-Myers 28 years ago and has held broad-ranging positions of increasing responsibility around the world, developing a diverse skill set in general management, supply chain sales, research and development and quality assurance. He brings a new vision to Bristol-Myers Squibb Canada, combining his Canadian background with his diverse experience acquired while living and working for BMS in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Asia.

Wayne holds a degree in engineering from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.

Noel-Alexandre Bertout

Vice President, Oncology

Noël-Alexandre Bertout was appointed Vice President, Oncology of Bristol-Myers Squibb Canada in 2008, responsible for overseeing the company's oncology portfolio.

Originally from France, Noël joined Bristol-Myers Squibb Europe in 2005 as associate marketing director for Sprycel.

Prior to joining Bristol-Myers Squibb, Noël spent five years at Novartis Pharma France, in a number of oncology and CNS marketing positions of increasing responsibility.

Noël holds a doctorate in pharmacy from the Université de Rouen (France) and a post-graduate degree in marketing, management and regulatory affairs in the pharmaceutical industry from the Bordeaux Management School.

Jacques Dessureault

Vice President, Cardiovascular and Metabolics

Jacques joined Bristol-Myers Squibb in 2008 as Vice President of the Cardiovascular and Metabolics business unit lead.

Prior to joining BMS, Jacques spent more than 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry in strategic and operational roles at both Glaxo and Novartis where he held mandates of increasing responsibilities in Canada and Europe. He has led major product launches at both international and national levels, and has successfully managed major business turnaround projects.

Jacques holds a degree in management information systems (MIS) from the Université du Québec à Montréal and a master's degree in marketing science from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom.

Vicky Esposito

Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance

Vicky was appointed Vice President, Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance of Bristol-Myers Squibb Canada in 2005. She is responsible for ensuring that all Canadian regulatory and quality requirements are met across all BMS products in Canada.

Vicky has more than 30 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry and since joining BMS, has held positions of increasing responsibility within the Canadian organization.

Vicky holds a Bachelor of Science degree and an Executive MBA from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec.

Murielle Lortie

Vice President, Finance

Murielle Lortie was appointed Vice President, Finance for Bristol-Myers Squibb Canada in 2006. She is responsible for the company's Canadian financial reporting, financial planning, tax, treasury, controllership, financial shared services, and procurement operations.

Murielle joined Bristol-Myers Squibb Canada in 2004 as Controller and has since managed various projects for the global finance organization. Before joining BMS, Murielle held several finance positions at both Arthur Andersen and Lafarge Canada Inc.

A chartered accountant, Murielle holds a degree in administration from Bishop's University in Lennoxville, Quebec, and a graduate degree in accounting from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec.

Lynda Newcomb

Vice President, Human Resources

Lynda Newcomb was appointed Vice President, Human Resources, of Bristol-Myers Squibb Canada in 2009. She is responsible for leading the human resources function in support of the company's strategy and partnering with business leaders to ensure the alignment of structure, resource allocation, strategic capabilities and talent.

Since joining BMS in 2005 Lynda has held various positions of increasing responsibility in human resources, including Director level positions in organizational effectiveness and human resources strategy. Prior to joining BMS, Lynda worked for a number of international and Canadian organizations in the high-tech, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, and construction materials industries at both operational and corporate levels.

Lynda holds a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec as well as a Certificate in Organization Design from the Center for Effective Organizations at the University of Southern California, USA.

Allison Rosenthal

Vice President, Virology, Immunology and Neuroscience

Allison Rosenthal was promoted to Vice President Virology, Immunology and Neuroscience in 2009. As the leader of the business unit, Allison is responsible for overseeing the company's virology, immunology and neuroscience portfolio.

Since joining Bristol-Myers Squibb Canada in 1994, Allison has held clinical and marketing positions of increasing responsibility, from product manager to regional sales manager, area sales director and commercial director positions.

Allison holds an undergraduate degree in anatomical sciences and a master's degree in anatomy and cell biology from McGill University in Montreal.

Krista Scaldwell

Vice President, Market Access

Krista joined Bristol-Myers Squibb Canada in June 2009 as Vice President of Market Access, responsible for corporate communications, public and private reimbursement of BMS Canada products, corporate philanthropy, stakeholder relations and federal and provincial government affairs.

Prior to joining BMS, Krista was the Director of Global Public Affairs for Johnson & Johnson Consumer Group of Companies. She has more than a decade of pharmaceutical industry experience in Canada and globally. Prior to transitioning to the pharmaceutical industry, Krista was a senior political staff member in the Ontario government. She has more than 20 years of both non-profit and corporate board experience and is currently a member of the Board for Canadians for Health Research.

Krista has an undergraduate degree from Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario, and an Executive MBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario.

Joanie Schwartz

Legal Counsel (Canada)

Joanie Schwartz joined Bristol-Myers Squibb Canada in 2004 and serves as legal counsel to the company, responsible for advising the company on all legal matters.

Before joining BMS, Joanie spent 8 years as an associate at a leading national law firm in Montreal.

She holds an undergraduate degree in psychology and a bachelor of civil law and a bachelor of common law from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. Joanie also holds a master's degree in criminology from the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Ontario.

Frances Shanahan

Vice President, Information Management and Business Intelligence

Frances Shanahan joined Bristol-Myers Squibb Canada in 2008 as Vice President, Information Management. Her role was expanded in 2009 to include the business intelligence function. Frances is responsible for shaping and executing the company strategy through best practice approaches to analytics, systems, market information, meeting logistics and sales effectiveness.

Frances has more than 14 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including senior information technology roles at both Abbott Canada and Novartis Canada.

Frances holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University, in Montreal, Quebec with a major in information systems and a concentration in marketing.

Mitch Shulman

Vice President, Medical

Dr. Mitch Shulman joined Bristol-Myers Squibb Canada as Vice-President, Medical, in 2007, responsible for health economics and outcomes research, pharmacovigilance and medical information and for establishing an effective working relationship and alignment between the local business unit, medical affairs and the regional medical department. Dr. Shulman also serves on the BMS Global Medical Council.

Dr. Shulman has broad experience in the pharmaceutical industry spanning over 14 years. He holds a BA in biology from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts and earned his medical degree at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, where he also trained in emergency medicine. He is a practicing emergency medicine specialist and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
